Joseph Bologne, String Quartet No. 1 in C major is compared to Mozart, String Quartet in G Major. Florence Price, String Quartet in G Major finds echoes in Anton Dvorak’s, String Quartet No. 12 in F major. Samuel Coleridge Taylor Novelletten is included as an example of a prolific London based mixed race composer of the late 19th c.
Jackson plays regularly with ONS as well as performing with many other local Symphony Orchestras. An SMU graduate, he is currently the Concertmaster of the Meadows Symphony Orchestra at SMU finishing his Performance Diploma. Quartet members include Diana Norwod, Marco Santisteven and Dana Hurt.
