Jazz Vocalist Kira Goidel is a vibrant performer skilled at executing demanding music with incredible vocal ability. From high intensity big band to intimate duo settings, Kira adapts with ease to countless musical situations dazzling audience members of all ages.
Kira got her start working in the NYC jazz scene and has played clubs such as Birdland Jazz Club and Zinc Bar shortly after graduating from Purchase College Conservatory of Music. There she received the Ella Fitzgerald Scholarship and studied with Jazz Vocalist, Alexis Cole. She received her Master’s of Music in Jazz Voice at the University of North Texas and was awarded a 2022 Downbeat award for Best Vocal Jazz Soloist. She studied voice with vocalist Rosana Eckert and was the vocalist with the Grammy nominated ensemble, The One O’Clock Lab Band directed by Alan Baylock.
During her final semester, she was a finalist for the USAF Airmen of Note Vocal Position. Kira currently resides in the DFW area making her living as an educator and arts administrator. She gigs at many venues in the area such as Steve’s Wine Bar, Sundance Square, Hearsay Arlington, Scat Jazz Lounge, and Monk’s Jazz.
