Time Lapse Transformation - Dee and Charles Wyly Theatre

The Dee and Charles Wyly Theatre at the AT&T Performing Arts Center in Dallas is an iconic architectural structure that is one of the most versatile theatrical performing spaces in the world.

Designed by REX/OMA, Joshua Prince-Ramus (partner in charge) and Rem Koolhaas, the theatre’s Potter Rose Performance Hall can be shaped into any number of configurations — thrust, proscenium, round, flat floor. The audience seating can wrap around the stage, move around the set, or the tiers of seating can fly out altogether. Get a glimpse of the Wyly Theatre’s versatility.

This time lapse video compresses 6 hours of work into a minute and a half, as 11 crew members convert the space from a thrust stage to a flat floor. Enjoy, and share the link!
